Licence Agreement

This agreement is between you and Static Friction LLC ("we", "us"), the owner and licensor of Lorebl, and covers your use of the Lorebl desktop application.

1. What you get

A perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Lorebl for personal or commercial writing. The version you buy is yours to keep and keeps working whether or not you ever buy anything again.

2. How many computers

Your licence activates one computer at a time. You may move it between computers as often as you need — release it from the old machine yourself, or ask us to. Running Lorebl on several machines at once requires a licence for each.

3. Your work is yours

Static Friction LLC claims no rights whatsoever over anything you create with Lorebl. Your files are stored on your computer in an open, readable format.

4. Ownership

Lorebl, its name, and its software are owned by Static Friction LLC. This agreement licenses the software to you; it does not sell or transfer ownership of it.

5. What you may not do

• Resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute Lorebl or your licence key.
• Circumvent, disable, or tamper with licence activation.
• Remove or alter any copyright or attribution notices.

6. Updates

Updates are provided at our discretion and install automatically by default. We do not promise any particular future feature.

7. Third-party components

Lorebl includes open-source components, including Electron and bundled typefaces licensed under the SIL Open Font License and the Apache License 2.0. Those components remain under their own licences.

8. No warranty

Lorebl is provided "as is". We have worked hard on data safety — atomic writes, rotating backups, and corruption recovery — but no software is perfect. Please keep your own backups of work that matters to you.

9. Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, the total liability of Static Friction LLC is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.

10. Termination

This licence ends if you materially breach it. You may stop using Lorebl at any time.

11. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States.
