The short version
The Lorebl application does not send your writing anywhere. Your characters, lore, timelines and notes are stored only as files on your own computer. We cannot read them and we never receive them.
Who is responsible for your data
Static Friction LLC, the company behind Lorebl, is the data controller. Contact: support@lorebl.com.
What we actually collect
- Your email address — given by you at checkout, so we can send your licence key and help you if you lose it.
- Your licence key and its activation state — including a random device identifier generated on your computer. That identifier is a random value; it is not derived from your hardware and does not identify you or your machine to us.
- Payment records — held by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and your email address, never your card number.
What the application sends
Lorebl makes network requests in only two situations:
- Activation — when you enter, move, or recover your licence key.
- Update checks — to see whether a newer version is available.
Neither request includes any of your writing.
Processors we use
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, licence storage, and downloads.
- Resend — sending your licence key email.
How long we keep it
We keep licence and purchase records for as long as your licence is valid, and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@lorebl.com. Note that deleting your licence record means we can no longer re-issue or move your key.
Cookies
The lorebl.com website sets no tracking or advertising cookies and runs no analytics.
